Abandono Sofia Arez

Installation “Abandono” located in the Claustro do Silêncio do Mosteiro of Alcobaça. In Abandonment, a fragment of the crown of an olive tree is revealed. A fragment that is comparable to what human beings are to the Universe: they can never fully understand or fill it. A fragment that is something open, incomplete. A non-place with the potential to become a meeting place.
