Our History
1973
Foundation of Jular
The company was founded by Júlia and Amaro Santos, operating in real estate development, construction materials trading, and the import of exotic woods.
1986
A Milestone of Growth and Innovation
Construction of the facilities in Azambuja, featuring an industrial unit that included sawmilling, drying, and processing of exotic woods.
2005
Expansion into Timber Construction
Creation of the structural timber construction division, reflecting the desire to innovate and integrate excellent international solutions.
2008
Launch of Treehouse
Introduction of the Treehouse modular timber construction system, marking a new phase for the company in the prefabricated housing segment.
2010
Resilience After the Fire
A fire destroyed the main goods warehouse in Azambuja. Jular adapted and continued its path of growth and innovation.
2010–2025
Focus on Sustainability and Internationalization
Growth of the structural division with projects in Portugal and abroad. Sustainability became a central pillar of the company’s activity, both in sales and timber construction.
