Kerto

Kerto, a high-tech, modern and innovative product.

Kerto micro-laminated wood is a high-tech product, manufactured by MetsäWood. It consists of 3 millimetre thick spruce blades, unwound and then hot glued to form large panels, from which components and parts for the manufacture of structures are obtained. Kerto is a modern and innovative material that allows the realization of a wide range of wooden structures. It opens up new fields for construction and allows the realization of structures that were not usually made of wood.

Kerto-S In Kerto-S, the wood fibers are oriented longitudinally on all blades. It is the ideal solution for applications that require large spans with minimal deformation. The range of applications includes naves, public buildings, multi-storey constructions, single-family houses, lintel construction, roofs, slabs, structural reinforcement, etc.

With some fibers glued perpendicularly, Kerto-Q is ideal for use as a panel. The cross blades give Kerto-Q additional transverse strength, allowing the panels to be used as bracing to increase structural stability. They also improve the resistance to bearing vertical loads. It has the possibility of adapting to curved surfaces.
