MetsäWood's I-beam system is designed to give uniform levels of strength, rigidity, sizing and weight, surpassing the performance of the traditional solid wood system. MetsäWood's engineered wood products are among the most stable on the market, and the I-Joist beams are a good example of this: produced with low humidity levels, their core is made of top-quality OSB, and the flanges are made of Kerto (LVL). The system replicates the traditional construction, which uses the beam as a support beam and the two-storey house as a floor, and uses technologically advanced materials that far surpass the performance of solid wood.
