Procurement of raw wood, made available by Jular, prioritizes selection from sustainably managed forests. The main supply markets are located in Europe, Africa, and North America. Approximately 50 species are available on the Portuguese market. The available logs follow standard thicknesses — 27, 35, 40, 55, and 80 mm — and are either air-dried or kiln-dried in greenhouses. The ideal wood moisture content for the Portuguese climate ranges between 12% and 14%.
