Kebony

Kebony wood is highly durable and sustainable, with brown-colored aesthetics, hardness, and the performance of the finest tropical hardwoods. It requires minimal maintenance with low life cycle costs. Its technology consists of a combination of infusion of a bio-based liquid and exposure to heat in excess of 100°C, which gives a greater permanent thickness to the cell wall of the wood. Heat-treated wood processes are purely high-temperature treatments (170°C - 215°C), which do not alter the cell structure of the wood, but harden and make the cell walls more fragile.
